Zinedine Zidane faces make-or-break month of April with Real Madrid

Alejandro Moreno assesses whether or not James Rodriguez would be a welcomed addition to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.

Zinedine Zidane's position at Real Madrid is hardly under threat, but April will be a pivotal month in determining whether the current manager goes on to build a lasting legacy at the Bernabeu or becomes yet another victim of Florentino Perez's impulsive approach to hiring and firing.

The president has been busily consolidating power in his second term in the boardroom and although elections are looming this summer, Real Madrid has ceased to resemble anything like a supporter-owned republic under...

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: Criticism of Champions League reforms 'fake news'

With the quarterfinals on the horizon, the FC panel debate which teams will advance, and the favourite to take the title.

European Club Association (ECA) chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has defended UEFA's Champions League reforms, labelling criticism as "fake news" while denying the changes only serve to increase the wealth gap between competing clubs.

UEFA's key upcoming change automatically guarantees four Champions League group-stage places each to Europe's top four countries from 2018-2021, which are currently Spain, Germany, England and Italy.

CAS lifts Partizan Belgrade's three-year UEFA ban after they pay tax debt

Partizan Belgrade had been banned by UEFA from European club football in December.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has overturned Partizan Belgrade's three-year ban from European club football after the Serbian side presented new evidence to show they have settled their national tax debts.

Partizan, currently second in the Serbian SuperLiga, were given the ban by UEFA in December for breaching club licensing and financial fair play rules, which state all clubs must be up to date on tax payments.

But, according to a statement from CAS, sport's highest court, the club presented...

L'Equipe apologise to Marco Verratti, Blaise Matuidi, PSG for party claim

PSG boss Unai Emery says the joy of winning another Ligue 1 title will help the team recover from their loss to Barcelona.

French publication L'Equipe have apologised to Paris Saint-Germain, as well as midfield duo Marco Verratti and Blaise Matuidi, for inaccurate recent claims about the pair.

In the aftermath of PSG's shocking 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Barcelona in the Champions League, the Italy and France internationals were reported to have been partying in a nightclub hours before the team departed for Catalonia.

Verratti's agent Donato Di Campli immediately defended his client, while the Italy star later confirmed...

CAS cuts Arijan Ademi's four-year doping ban in half after appeal

Arijan Ademi will now only be banned until October.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has cut Arijan Ademi's doping ban from four years to two after the Dinamo Zagreb and Macedonia midfielder persuaded an appeal panel he had not intentionally cheated.

Ademi, 26, tested positive for the steroid stanozolol after Dinamo's 2-1 Champions League win over Arsenal in September 2015.

Two months later, European football's governing body UEFA gave him a four-year ban.

A UEFA appeals panel upheld that decision last May.

Ademi then took his fight to sport's...
