No Zlatan, no problem? Sweden start their 12th World Cup in Group H, ready to prove all the doubters wrong.

Sweden have confirmed a member of their coaching staff got into a closed South Korea training session and was asked to leave, leading to a squabble between the teams over spying ahead of their World Cup game on Monday.

A Swedish scout used a house near Korea's training base in Austria this month to watch training sessions using a high performance telescope and video camera.

"It took a long car journey up the mountains to reach the house, but it was a perfect spot to observe the Korean team's training,"...

The context

South Korea's first match as World Cup hosts, in a group that also featured Portugal and the USA. So they had to get maximum points here.

South Korea cut Lee Chung-Yong as final 23-man squad World Cup squad confirmed

South Korea are making their ninth consecutive World Cup appearance with Son Heung-min & Co. getting things started in Group F.
African-born Portuguese forward Eusebio was the undoubted star of the 1966 World Cup, with his four goals against North Korea just a taste of things to come.
The ESPN FC panel discuss Group F, which contains Germany, Mexico, Sweden and South Korea.

Crystal Palace winger Lee Chung-Yong had his dreams of a third World Cup dashed on Saturday as he was one of three players cut as coach Shin Tae-Yong announced his final 23-man squad.

The Taeguk Warriors head to their Austrian training camp on Sunday without Lee as well as defenders Kwon Kyong-Won of Tianjin Quanjian in China and Kim Jin-Su of K-League champions Jeonbuk Motors.

Lee, a veteran of the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, barely featured for Palace in the 2017-18 English Premier League season...
