Derby boss Lampard shocked in 'good way' after beating Mourinho's United

As tensions escalate between Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho, the FC crew assess the issues at Man United and debate who's more at fault for the rift.
Frank Lampard's Derby County picked up an incredible come-from-behind win over reeling Manchester United in the Carabao Cup thanks in part to a Phil Jones penalty shootout miss.

Derby County manager Frank Lampard picked up the biggest win so far in his young managerial career on Tuesday when his Championship side knocked Manchester United, coached by his former boss Jose Mourinho, out of the Carabao Cup.

Derby won 8-7 on penalties after the game had ended 2-2 after 90 minutes. It had taken a last-gasp header from United substitute Marouane Fellaini to take the contest into a shootout.

And following the match, Lampard said he was somewhat in disbelief.

"I'm a bit shell shocked...

Tigres coach Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti is no longer in the running to become the Mexico national team head coach, the Mexican federation (FMF) announced on Tuesday.

"Unfortunately, we've been notified by Tigres of the impossibility of considering Ricardo Ferretti as a candidate to manage the Mexican national team on a permanent basis," read a statement from the FMF.

Ferretti will still take charge of next month's games against Costa Rica (Oct. 11) and Chile (Oct. 16) and would be available to step...

OXFORD, England -- Pep Guardiola said Phil Foden will be an "amazing player" for Manchester City for the next 10 years after his brilliant display in the 3-0 victory over Oxford United.

The 18-year-old, making just his fifth start, scored his first goal for the club as the defending champions secured a place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a comfortable win.

He also had a big hand in the other two goals -- spraying a 40-yard pass which led to the first-half opener for Gabriel Jesus before...

Can Harare City's Muyambo become Zimbabwe's next great defensive midfielder?

Harare City starlet Learnmore Muyambo has battled his way back into the limelight following a lengthy spell on the sidelines, restricting veteran Tendai Samanja to the bench as he impresses in the challenging anchorman's role.

Coincidentally, it was exactly two years ago that former City coach Moses Chunga, in an opinion piece for the Sunday Mail, 'warned' the local football fraternity to "watch out for my defensive linkman Muyambo, [who] will be the next best anchorman in the land if he keeps his...

Steve Nicol remains unconvinced by Tottenham despite their 2-1 win over Brighton moving them back up to 5th in the Premier League.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is confident the club's new stadium will be ready before Christmas.

Spurs' new £850 million home, which was originally due to open on Sept. 15, has been delayed and no test events have been announced.

But Pochettino said: "I am confident [it will be] this year. I had some private conversation with Daniel [Levy, the chairman].

"They are working hard to try to find the solution. I hope before the year, before Christmas, we can play. That's my wish. It will...
