D.C. United has signed former Columbus Crews SC goalkeeper Steve Clark.

Clark, 31, was a free agent who most recently played for Danish Superliga side AC Horsens, where he started 17 matches after moving to the club in January.

"Steve is a veteran goalkeeper with both MLS and international experience," said United general manager Dave Kasper.

"His track record in Major League Soccer is impressive and we are pleased to add another quality player to this team and upgrade our depth at the goalkeeper...

Montreal Impact star Ignacio Piatti frustrated over contract talks

Ignacio Piatti sparked the Montreal Impact to a thumping 3-0 win over the Fire, scoring a brace in the first half.

Montreal Impact midfielder Ignacio Piatti spoke of his frustration at the state of contract talks, following the team's 3-0 victory over the Chicago Fire on Wednesday night.

Piatti scored twice in the win, but afterwards told the stadium PA announcer that, "these could be my last 10 games."

Piatti's contract runs through July 1 of 2018, and he said that the decision now lies with the Impact as to whether he stays beyond that point.

MLS will allow teams to make a fourth substitution during this year's postseason if a match goes to extra time.

The International Football Association Board (IFAB), which approves all changes to the Laws of the Game, has allowed for leagues and tournaments to experiment with using an additional substitute in extra time of games.

Already this year, the experiment has been implemented in the FA Cup, Scottish Cup, FIFA Confederations Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. IFAB is expected to make a final decision...
