Ronaldo on Messi: I deserve more Ballons d'Or

Ale Moreno feels Atletico Madrid vs. Juventus will be the key UCL fixture from matchday 1 given Cristiano Ronaldo's dominance vs. Atleti.

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has said he deserves to end his career with more Ballon d'Or awards than Barcelona's Lionel Messi and hopes to establish himself as the greatest player of all time.

Ronaldo, 34, has won the renowned France Football magazine trophy for the world's best player five times -- as many as Messi -- but is eager for more as he moves into the twilight of his career.

Cagliari not punished for fans' abuse of Lukaku

Gab Marcotti reacts to the Serie A disciplinary tribunal's decision not to take action over racist chants aimed at Inter's Romelu Lukaku.
Gab Marcotti recommends closed-door games to punish fans following the racist chants directed at Romelu Lukaku during Inter's win over Cagliari.
ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti gives reasons why Inter Milan have yet to condemn their own ultras' statement of support of Cagliari's racist chants towards Romelu Lukaku.

Serie A club Cagliari again escaped sanctions over racist behaviour by their fans, as the league's disciplinary tribunal decided on Tuesday not to take action over monkey noises aimed at Inter Milan's Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku.

The tribunal said in a statement on Tuesday that "in terms of dimension and real perception," the chants could not be considered discriminatory under the league's disciplinary code.

"The tribunal has decided not to apply sanctions to Cagliari," it said, referring to the...

Roma tweet reunites missing boy with family

Henrikh Mkhitaryan netted his first goal for Roma as the Giallorossi scored four times in the first half to defeat Domenico Berardi and Sassuolo.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan's transfer to Roma has made a lasting impact off the pitch, helping a missing Kenyan boy reunite with his family thanks to the Italian club's social media campaign.

An image of the child, 13, was featured on Twitter alongside one of Armenia international midfielder Mkhitaryan when he completed his loan move from Arsenal earlier this month.
