German FA probing Borussia Dortmund, Magdeburg over flares, tifo

Fireworks and a "Saw"-inspired tifo greeted Dortmund ahead of their German Cup match at third-division side Magdeburg.

The German Football Association (DFB) has confirmed to ESPN FC it has opened an investigation against FC Magdeburg and Borussia Dortmund for setting off fireworks at Tuesday's DFB Pokal match.

Ahead of the clash at the MDCC-Arena, which saw Bundesliga leaders Dortmund beat the third-tier side 5-0, Magdeburg supporters displayed a "Saw"-inspired tifo which received international attention.
