James Rodriguez discusses the reasons behind his departure from Real Madrid.

Facing an uncertain future after the shock exit of Carlo Ancelotti, James Rodriguez has become a mainstay for treble-seeking Jupp Heynckes at Bayern Munich.

Lured to Bayern by Ancelotti, his former coach at Real, Rodriguez signed a two-year loan deal last summer -- with the Bavarians securing the option to make the deal permanent from Real Madrid in 2019.

However, he made a rocky start to life in Germany under his old mentor's tutelage. The Colombia international picked up a hamstring injury in...

The FC crew praise Bayern Munich's Bundesliga dominance, but cast doubt on their ability to win the Champions League, despite favourable odds.

Two goals apiece from Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski ensured a hard-fought 4-2 win in Bayern's first home match following the winter break, after lowly Werder Bremen had the temerity to take the lead through Jerome Gondorf and Niklas Sule's own goal levelled in between.

BERLIN -- Borussia Dortmund were dealt a second Bundesliga draw under Peter Stoger, this time in a 1-1 against Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion on Friday night.

After 45 minutes of thorough boredom, it was the hosts who broke the deadlock in the first minute of the second half. Davie Selke connected to Valentino Lazaro's cross for a surprising lead.

The visitors responded well to the wake-up call but needed until the 71st minute to pull level. It was 17-year-old Englishman Jadon Sancho...

Arsenal-linked Aubameyang's divorce from Dortmund is a shame

With no offer yet from Arsenal for Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, ESPN FC's Raf Honigstein explains why a January move is a waiting game.

Breaking up is hard to do.

When it comes to a certain level of player -- the key goal scorer, captain or talismanic playmaker, for example -- parting ways is seldom free of acrimony. Sometimes the player's camp will play up supposed differences with the manager or a perceived lack of respect from the club or supporters, to portray that player as victim, forced to leave a ruinous relationship.
