Kylian Mbappe gets 2/10 as Edinson Cavani saves PSG's blushes

Neymar struggled for much of the first half before getting ejected late against Marseille.

Paris Saint-Germain were seconds away from their first defeat to bitter rivals Olympique de Marseille since 2011, when Edinson Cavani stepped up and rescued them with a free kick that crashed in off the crossbar to earn a 2-2 draw on Sunday. Florian Thauvin looked to have won it for OM, especially when Neymar saw red for two bookable offences, but Cavani saved the day at Stade Velodrome. Before that, Luiz Gustavo and Neymar had traded goals in Le Classique's first half.

Local boy Kylian Mbappe ready to live out dream by playing in Le Classique

Unai Emery discusses Neymar's growth at PSG and how he plans to help him improve on both sides of the ball.
Marseille manager Rudi Garcia argued that although his team are ready to face PSG, their objectives for the season are very different.

MARSEILLE, France -- Paris Saint-Germain will dispute Le Classique for the first time with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at Orange Velodrome on Sunday, and the advent will mean that more eyes are on the French capital outfit and Marseille than usual.

The rivalry remains Ligue 1's most prestigious match, but it is also fair to say that their meetings have lost a bit of shine over the past few years -- despite the arrival of Frank McCourt and some new money on the Canebiere last season.

If Mesut Ozil leaves Arsenal in January, which clubs would want to sign him?

As rumours continue to swirl about Mesut Ozil's future, Man United has reportedly become the top destination for the playmaker.
Stewart Robson and the ESPN FC panel talk Mesut Ozil and whether he can re-integrate himself into the Arsenal squad.

It's looking increasingly likely that Mesut Ozil will either leave Arsenal in January or for free next summer -- the latest rumour has seen him linked to Manchester United -- but the question for the Gunners now is how hard should they try to keep him?

We asked our club correspondents for their thoughts.

MAN UNITED: NO

Jose Mourinho is a fan of Mesut Ozil after their time together at Real Madrid. But there would be questions about whether or not Manchester United actually need him, especially given...

Mario Balotelli posts adorable picture holding newborn son Lion

Last time we checked on Mario Balotelli, he was burning rubber while racing a mini motorbike around the OGC Nice training campus.

Thankfully, Balotelli's latest social media update is entirely more serene and peaceful.

Good night ❤️ #Father&Son

The 27-year-old Italian striker shared an intimate photo of himself with his newborn son, Lion, cradled in his arms.

Now almost three weeks old, Lion is Balotelli's first child with his girlfriend, known only as Clelia.

Mario Balotelli still among the goals but Nice face a season of struggle

Though PSG were underwhelming in victory over Dijon, Julien Laurens is ready to declare the Ligue 1 title race over.

Nice coach Lucien Favre is not just a great manager, he is also a good, loyal man who turned down Borussia Dortmund in May to stay on the Riviera. He is a bit of a psychic as well, predicting that his team could have a tough campaign after the highs of last season (a third place finish after leading Ligue 1).

So on Sunday, after his players lost again, this time to Montpellier, he reminded everyone: "Before the start of the season, I announced that it could be very difficult for us."

However, even...

Thomas Meunier taking his chances to star for Paris Saint-Germain

Though PSG were underwhelming in victory over Dijon, Julien Laurens is ready to declare the Ligue 1 title race over.

PARIS -- Seven goals and eight assists from 10 competitive appearances across all competitions for club and country so far this season would make Paris Saint-Germain's star attacking trio of Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Neymar happy. However, these statistics do not belong to any of them; instead, they belong to the PSG's right-back... and not even coach Unai Emery's regular first choice in that role!

It's not Dani Alves who boasts such impressive figures this early in the campaign but his...
