2018 World Cup draw results and full daily schedule

Stewart Robson feels England lucked out and got a fairly easy group that contains Belgium, Panama and Tunisia.
ESPN's Julien Laurens believes France will be very happy after drawing Australia, Peru and Denmark.

FIFA conducted the draw for the 2018 World Cup on Friday in Moscow.

The 32 qualified teams, allocated in four pots based on their October FIFA ranking, were drawn into eight groups of four teams each. Hosts Russia were automatically the top seed in Group A despite being the lowest-ranked team.

There could be no more than two teams from Europe in any one pot, and no more than one nation from any other continental confederation.

Tite's Brazil World Cup squad taking shape but still places left to play for

Just months ahead of the 2018 World Cup, Tite has tough decisions to make with his Brazil squad.
Brazil's Tite has decisions to make as he rounds out his 23-man roster for the World Cup.

In a recent interview with the local press, Brazil coach Tite confirmed 15 of the 23 players he will be taking to the World Cup.

The team base, then, is goalkeeper Alisson (Roma), full-backs (right and left respectively) Daniel Alves (PSG) and Marcelo (Real Madrid), centre-backs Marquinhos (PSG) and Miranda (Inter Milan; holding midfielder Casemiro (Real Madrid), midfielders Paulinho (Barcelona) and Renato Augusto...

Russian government shielded doping players - ex-lab director Rodchenkov

FIFA president Gianni Infantino speaks to ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti about his hopes of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups being able to change any negative perceptions of both Russia and Qatar.

Russian football players were protected from being caught doping under direct government orders that laboratory director Grigory Rodchenkov said he followed to ensure cheating was covered up.

Outlining his involvement in football for the first time to The Associated Press, Rodchenkov claimed an instruction to "avoid any scandal" came from Vitaly Mutko, the former Russian sports minister who now serves as a deputy prime minister despite being implicated in a far-reaching doping controversy.

Brazil coach Tite reveals 15 players of his World Cup squad

Shaka Hislop feels everyone at PSG is bending over backward to appease Neymar and agrees with Walter Casagrande's claim that the €222 million man is 'spoiled' by the media.

Brazil coach Tite has revealed 15 players who are guaranteed a place in his World Cup squad for this summer's tournament in Russia.

Tite took the unusual step in an interview with UOL Esporte, revealing a partial squad led by four players from Paris Saint-Germain: Daniel Alves, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Neymar.

From the Premier League, Liverpool's Roberto Firmino, Chelsea's Willian and Manchester City duo Gabriel Jesus and Fernandinho are included.
