Marco Silva and Watford an odd pairing of ambition and instability

Marco Silva says he and the Watford board have a clear understanding of what their targets are in the transfer market.

Watford's Mario Suarez joins China's Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng

Mario Suarez signed for Watford in January 2016.

Watford midfielder Mario Suarez has joined Chinese Super League side Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng FC, the Premier League club have announced.

Suarez, 30, moved to Vicarage Road from Fiorentina in January 2016 but made just 17 appearances for the Hornets.

He spent last season on loan at Valencia, where he played 24 times for the Liga side.

Suarez, who has three caps for Spain, will become a teammate of former Everton, Hull and West Ham striker Nikica Jelavic at Zhicheng.
