Villarreal sign defender Ramiro Funes Mori from Everton

Centre-back Ramiro Funes Mori has joined Villarreal from Everton after spending three seasons at Goodison Park, the clubs have announced.

The 27-year-old Argentine has signed a four-year deal with the La Liga club. The transfer fee was not disclosed.

Funes Mori moved to Everton from River Plate in September 2015 for £11.6 million, making 67 appearances in all competitions for the club.

However, a knee injury suffered in March 2017 saw him play in just four matches for the club after recovering.

Villarreal complete Toko Ekambi signing

Villarreal have completed the signing of Cameroon international Karl Toko Ekambi from Angers, the Spanish side confirmed on Thursday.

The 25-year-old joins the Yellow Submarine on a five-year deal, according to a statement on the club's official website.

The forward was one of the breakout stars in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 17 goals and contributing six assists in 37 top-flight outings as Angers finished 14th.

Santi Cazorla will return to his former club Villarreal for preseason training after his contract at Arsenal expired.

Cazorla, 33, who had two previous spells with the La Liga side, is looking to return to fitness after 19 months out with a severe Achilles injury.

Atletico Madrid announce deal for Villarreal midfielder Rodri

Rodri will join Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal with Villarreal to sign Spain midfielder Rodri on a five-year contract.

The 21-year-old graduated from the Atletico academy before joining Villarreal in 2015 and last season he made 47 appearances for the Yellow Submarine, scoring once.

A statement published on Atletico's official website on Thursday said Rodri would officially return to Madrid on July 1.
