Redmayne, O'Neill included in Socceroos squad

With an eye to upcoming World Cup qualifiers, Socceroos coach Graham Arnold has called up a batch of A-League performers and overseas-based hopefuls for next month's friendly in South Korea.

Uncapped title-winners Brandon O'Neill and Andrew Redmayne have been rewarded with places, with Melbourne Victory gloveman Lawrence Thomas also in the mix to win his first Socceroos cap.

Redmayne credits Sydney keeper coach for heroics

Emotional goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne has given credit to Sydney FC goalkeeping coach John Crawley for transforming him into a bona fide A-League champion.

The 30-year-old was Sydney's hero in Sunday night's penalty shootout Grand Final win over Perth, saving efforts from Glory strikers Andy Keogh and Brendon Santalab.

As it turned out, Crawley provided the intel and Redmayne decided what to do with it.
