Jurgen Klopp's side survived an Adrian error and a late scare to defeat the Saints 2-1 at St Mary's.
Steve Nicol feels Liverpool's bench could still do with another young, hungry attacker to help out the world class front three.
Steve Nicol picks the winners and losers of the second Saturday of the Premier League season, including Teemu Pukki's hat trick and Liverpool's sloppy defense.

Liverpool made it two wins from two to start the season following a 2-1 victory at Southampton on Saturday, equalling a club record of 11 successive Premier League victories.

Former Saints forward Sadio Mane sent Jurgen Klopp's men on their way to three points with a stunning strike in first half stoppage time before Roberto Firmino made it two in the second half. An awful mistake from Adrian gave Danny Ings the chance to make it 2-1 and set up a nervy finale, but the visitors held on.

Three goals inside 12 minutes in the second half turned a game which had been even until Barnes opened the scoring in the 63rd minute
