Paul Mariner and Sebastian Salazar discuss Man United's capture of the EFL Cup trophy, and if Southampton deserved more.

Manolo Gabbiadini has said that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho praised his two-goal display in the EFL Cup final.

Van Dijk was linked with a move to the Etihad in the January transfer window and there has been speculation that City could try to complete a deal at the end of the season.

However, Krueger has said the 25-year-old,...

Claude Puel shares his disappointment and thoughts on video technology after Southampton's 3-2 loss in the EFL Cup final.

Southampton's Oriol Romeu has urged football's rule-makers to bring in video technology after the EFL Cup final was "dramatically'' altered by an erroneous offside decision.

Claude Puel's men flew out the blocks at Wembley and found the net after just 11 minutes as Manolo Gabbiadini turned home from close range, sending the success-starved Saints fans wild.

However, the goal was wrongly ruled off for offside on an afternoon that ended with United lifting the EFL Cup thanks to a 3-2 triumph at Wembley,...

EFL Cup is just the beginning for Man Utd but could be Southampton's end

The FC boys praise Zlatan's showing in the EFL Cup and debate whether this is crucial for Man United going forward.

"The reality is I want more."

Of all the things Jose Mourinho could have said in the aftermath of an EFL Cup final win over Southampton on Sunday, that was among the least surprising. This was, after all, a manager who has won 21 trophies in the last 13 years (24 if you count the Community Shield and its national variants), speaking an hour or so after succeeding in what was Manchester United's third- or fourth-biggest priority. Bigger things lie ahead. Or that's the plan, at least.
