Aleksandar Kolarov winner continues stupendous start to life at Roma

Roma claimed a hard-fought 1-0 win at Torino on Sunday, courtesy of Aleksandar Kolarov's free kick.

Aleksandar Kolarov strengthened his case as signing of the season as his crunching free kick gave Roma a 1-0 win from a hard-fought clash at Torino that saw the Giallorossi equal Inter Milan's record of 11 straight away Serie A victories.

The Serb brought his sensational form from the 3-3 draw at Chelsea in midweek to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and bagged Roma's winner with their first shot on target, 69 minutes into a tense battle at a ground where they hadn't won for four seasons.

Edin Dzeko and Eden Hazard both scored a brace for their sides as the two top teams of Group C battle to a 3-3 draw.
Chelsea let a two-goal lead slip against Roma before settling for a draw, while Benfica's goalkeeping gaffe gifted Man United a win.
The experts at the ESPN FC desk talk Chelsea's 3-3 draw with Roma as Antonio Conte's men have let in five goals in all competitions since coming back from the international break.

After wowing Europe by coming back from two goals down to draw 3-3 at Chelsea, Roma return to the more prosaic task of Serie A. Given last weekend's defeat to leaders Napoli, they need to take their Champions League performance and transfer it to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, where in addition to chasing down the top four, they go hunting an old enemy's record.

Roma travel to Turin with Inter Milan's 11-away match winning streak from 2006-07 firmly in their sights. The Giallorossi have won...

Roma charged with racist behaviour by UEFA following Chelsea game

Chelsea correspondent Liam Twomey breaks down Chelsea's 3-3 draw with Roma and the ensuing press conference from manager Antonio Conte.

Roma have been charged by UEFA after some of their supporters allegedly directed monkey chants at Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger during Wednesday's Champions League clash at Stamford Bridge.

A statement from UEFA read: "Disciplinary proceedings have been opened following the UEFA Champions League group stage match between Chelsea FC and AS Roma (3-3), played on October 18 in England."

UEFA said the charge was "racist behaviour (monkey chants)," adding: "This case will be dealt with by the UEFA...

Edin Dzeko's two goals vs. Chelsea emblematic of career revival

Edin Dzeko and Eden Hazard both scored a brace for their sides as the two top teams of Group C battle to a 3-3 draw.
Edin Dzeko's two goals earned Roma a point in their six-goal thriller against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Wednesday night will live long in the memory of the Romanisti who made it to Stamford Bridge. Used to their team collapsing in the face of adversity, they watched Roma battle back from two goals down to the Premier League champions Chelsea, a team managed by hated Juventino Antonio Conte, and come just a whisker away from leaving London with what would have been a huge -- and fully deserved -- three points.

They saw their team, so often a joke on Europe's biggest stage, and their main man Edin Dzeko,...

Radja Nainggolan says he stayed with Roma to win a trophy despite being linked with Chelsea.

Belgium midfielder Nainggolan, 29, showed his quality in Roma's 3-3 draw at Chelsea on Wednesday and -- despite appearing to hint he was considering an exit during the summer -- he said he had never wanted to leave the Giallorossi.

"I've always been convinced of what I want, in that winning something at Roma would be unforgettable," the former Piacenza and Cagliari man told Mediaset. "I stayed because I'm...
