Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.
Sebastian Druissi to Tottenham Hotspur
The Independent reports that Spurs are ready to reignite their interest in River Plate forward Sebastian Driussi. Reports in 2014 linked the Mauricio Pochettino with the Argentine wonderkid but a move never materialised. However, this time around the interest is more than concrete. The Spurs manager feels he can take advantage of his contacts in his home nation to secure the 20-year-old forward. It has been reported that club president Rodolfo D'Onofrio and technical director Enzo Francescoli are prepared to let Driussi go, but only if they can secure a deal that is satisfactory to them.
Julian Brandt to Liverpool
The Liverpool Echo claims Bayer Leverkusen attacker Julian Brandt is a summer transfer target for the Reds. German side Leverkusen have no interest in selling him in January as they look to get back into the Champions League race in the Bundesliga. The report goes on to say the £20 million-rated attacker has attracted interest from Bayern Munich and it would be a coup for Liverpool to land him. The 20-year-old would add not only depth, but an abundance of quality as Jurgen Klopp looks to assemble a squad that will be hopefully competing in Europe's top club competition.
Jese Rodriguez to Middlesbrough
According to various reports, Middlesbrough are on the cusp of a Spanish revolution. Stoke City's Bojan and Everton's Gerard Deulofeu have been linked with January moves to Teesside after falling out of favour at their respective clubs and now Boro are being linked with Paris Saint-Germain attacker Jese Rodriguez. The 23-year-old joined the Ligue 1 side in the summer for a reported £22m but has failed to settle and has just one start this season. Aitor Karanka is keen on a loan move to reunite with a player he would be familiar with from his side at Real Madrid.
Moussa Marega to Crystal Palace
Portuguese media are linking Crystal Palace with a move for Moussa Marega. The striker, who is on loan at Guimaraes from Porto, is averaging a goal every 99 minutes and is set to surpass the 15 league goals he scored last season. Palace are in need of striking reinforcements having lost Connor Wickham to an injury leaving them stretched in that position if anything happens to Christian Benteke.
Romain Alessandrini to LA Galaxy
ESPN FC's Jeff Carlisle reports that LA Galaxy are looking to fill the Designated Player spot opened up by Steven Gerrard's departure with Marseille midfielder Romain Alessandrini. The 27-year-old Frenchman joined OM in 2015 from Rennes in a deal worth €5m and gone on to make over 50 Ligue 1 appearances for the club. However, he's seen his game time limited by the arrivals of Florian Thauvin, Remy Cabella, and Clinton Njie.
