Nicklas Bendtner celebrates birthday with shirtless horseback glamour shot

Having just turned 29, Nicklas Bendtner marked his birthday by sharing an eyebrow-raising photo of himself via social media.

As a little treat for his legion of Instagram followers, the Denmark international and ex-Arsenal striker whipped off his shirt, clambered onto his steed and posed for a seductive glamour shot.

Unmistakable shades of Vladimir Putin on horseback there, though whether or not that was the effect Bendtner, now with Rosenborg, was aiming for is debatable.

Portuguese giants Braga use Tinder to announce signings

It would appear that the era of the elaborate social media player unveiling video isn't quite over yet, with SC Braga getting in on the act this week.

The amusing little clip sees the Portuguese club swipe left on a Tinder-style dating app after being paired with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Michy Batshuayi and pie-eating goalkeeper Wayne Shaw.

Braga then swipe right to announce their double signing of Riccardo Ryller and Andrej Lukic.

MKR was officially launched at the beginning of January and the team have already signed their first driver in the shape of touring car star Benjamin Leuchter, a former colleague of Sebastian Vettel at junior level.

As well as the hunt...

Dimitri Payet literally injures goalkeeper with devastating dummy

Marseille's Dimitri Payet's dummy sent the Strasbourg keeper Alexandre Oukidja the wrong way, injuring his knee as Payet tapped the ball into an empty net.

Marseille racked up a routine 2-0 win over Strasbourg in the Ligue 1 on Tuesday night with Dimitri Payet rounding out the scoring in the last few minutes.

Indeed, Payet's goal was notable for the fact that the former West Ham star quite literally left Strasbourg goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja with injured ankles after foxing him with a truly outrageous body swerve.

Sent clean through on goal, Payet darted past the advancing Oukidja with a feint so devastating that the 29-year-old goalkeeper had to...

Oldham deny bid for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez

Relax, Oldham fans: Alexis Sanchez isn't on his way.

While it may seem that a plethora of potential suitors are lining up to woo Alexis Sanchez at the moment, Oldham Athletic have categorically confirmed that they are not chasing the Chile international's signature.

Indeed, the League One outfit have been forced to deny they have any interest in signing Sanchez after being linked to the Arsenal forward by one of their own players.

The rumours began when Oldham defender Ryan McLaughlin contacted his own club on Twitter and, with tongue pressed...
