Former CONCACAF general secretary Enrique Sanz has been given a life ban from football after being found guilty of bribery.
Enrique Sanz was found guilty of bribery in competitions organised between 2012 and 2015.

Former general secretary of North American soccer's governing body CONCACAF Enrique Sanz has been banned from any football-related activity for life after being found guilty of bribery, FIFA announced on Tuesday.

Sanz was found guilty of negotiating bribes in competitions organised by FIFA, CONCACAF, the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) and the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) between 2012 and 2015.

Emiliano Sala died in a plane crash following his move from Nantes to Cardiff.

FIFA has ordered Cardiff City to pay a transfer fee of £5.3 million (€6m) to Nantes for Emiliano Sala.

Sala died in a plane crash in January while travelling from Nantes to Cardiff after the two clubs agreed upon a transfer for the Argentine striker. After his death, the clubs failed to reach an agreement over the striker's outstanding £15m transfer fee so Nantes referred the case to FIFA in April.

Nicaragua FA confirms The Best voting mix-up

Craig Burley says Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde's struggles can only get worse if Lionel Messi's injury against Villarreal sidelines the star man.

The Nicaragua football federation (Fenifut) on Thursday confirmed that it was left-back Manuel Rosas, and not team captain Juan Barrera, whose vote was sent in to FIFA in its The Best voting for its player of the year.

The federation said it mistakenly told FIFA that it was Barrera who voted, when in fact, it was Rosas. Rosas' vote was for Lionel Messi

FIFA on Friday also issued a statement saying that the sport's governing body was "disappointed to see a number of reports in the media questioning...

FIFA agrees plan to cap agent fees, loan deals

Alejandro Moreno says the only way Barcelona can get Napoli duo Kalidou Koulibaly and Fabian Ruiz is with a "blockbuster" deal in the summer.

A FIFA panel has agreed limits on fees that agents can take from the $7 billion annual football transfer market and to caps on the number of player loan deals that clubs can make.

Seeking some control over the global trade in players often described as a "Wild West," FIFA said its stakeholders committee of football industry experts recommended key principles on Wednesday.

Infantino: Serie A's handling of racism 'absurd'

FIFA president Gianni Infantino lambasted Italian football authorities for "hiding the truth" about racism in a scathing assessment on Tuesday following a complete lack of punishment after three cases of discriminatory chants during the four opening rounds of Serie A.

Three black players -- Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku, AC Milan's Franck Kessie, and Fiorentina's Dalbert Henrique -- have been targeted by racist chants but no sanctions have been handed out by the Italian league, federation or police.
