Bayern Munich announce partnership with University of Denver

Rafinha is delighted to be back training with Bayern Munich and hopes to continue to righting the recent poor results.

Bayern Munich have today announced a partnership with the University of Denver, which will see the Bundesliga side help young players looking for a career in sports.

The German club will share their coaching philosophy and expertise with students while they complete their high education in the United States.

"FC Bayern is committed to growing soccer at all levels in the U.S.," Bayern director Jorg Wacker said. "We are delighted to partner with a leading university, which has the country's number one NCAA Division I College Soccer program, making our ambition of creating a variety of pathways for youngsters looking to pursue a career in soccer a reality."

The partnership will give Bayern -- who have been working on improving the game at a grass-roots level in the U.S. since 2014 -- access to the university's training facilities as well as collaboration in research programs.

"We are dedicated to delivering the highest level of education and by partnering with FC Bayern we will be delivering a global soccer program too," Rebecca Chopp, University of Denver Chancellor, said. "As an educational institution, we will be able to support the club in their research initiatives as well as offer their staff excellent educational opportunities in the U.S."

University of Denver head coach Jamie Franks said he was "delighted" about the partnership.
