Owner won't sell Perth Glory to bitcoin company

Brisbane Roar hosted Perth Glory drawing 1-1 saved by a late equaliser from Macaulay Gillesphey.

Perth Glory owner Tony Sage has decided against selling the A-League club to controversial bitcoin company London Football Exchange.

Sage had planned to sell 80% of the club to LFE but he advised Football Federation Australia on Monday night that the deal would not proceed.

The news will come as a huge relief to Glory fans who had expressed fears about LFE and the group's business model.

LFE is reportedly being sued in London and New York over various business matters. The company has big dreams...

Frustration was felt by both teams, as hopes for the final begin to dwindle

Newcastle coach Carl Robinson was left to lament his side's habit of conceding goals early in halves as Melbourne Victory fought back to draw 1-1 at McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday night.

The Jets were in control in the first half of the A-League contest and led 1-0, but Victory caught the Newcastle defence napping in the 49th minute to equalise. Tim Hoogland crossed to find captain Ola Toivonen at the back post and the Swede buried his header despite the presence of three Jets defenders.
